SS_AST

This process is an OSF triggered process that invokes the SSKEY executable to produce Astrometry .DGX files for particular observations. Astrometry .DGX files contain the Support Schedule information from the PMDB which is required for the astrometry pipeline OMSAST process; i.e., the generic conversion process. The Support Schedule information is extracted from the database pointed to by the logical OPUS_DB on the server pointed to by the logical DSQUERY.

When triggered for a particular observation, the SS_AST process will do the following:

create a Support Schedule .DGX file for the observation
set the OSF to trigger the astrometry generic conversion (OMSAST) process

       SS_AST -p opus_definitions_dir:your.path -r opus_definitions_dir:your.resource

              where: SS_AST = command name
                         -p = denotes path file specification follows
                     opus_definitions_dir:your.path = path file to use
                         -r = denotes resource file specification follows
                     opus_definitions_dir:your.resource = resource file to use
