8.11 Special Proposal Types


(This is item 10 in the GO/SNAP template; it is item 7 in the AR/Theory template. Some of the keywords appear only in the GO/SNAP template, or only in the AR/Theory template.)

8.11.1 ARlegacy

Set this keyword to `yes' if you are submitting an AR proposal in the AR Legacy category (see Section 3.4.2).

8.11.2 calibprop

Set this keyword to `yes' if you are submitting a Calibration Proposal (see Section 3.7).

8.11.3 chandrakiloseconds

If you are asking for both HST and Chandra observing time (see Section 3.8) then set this keyword to the requested number of Chandra kiloseconds. You should then also provide detailed information on the Chandra observations in the `Coordinated Observations' section of the proposal (see Section 8.18.1). Use this flag only if you are requesting new Chandra observing time; do not use it if the Chandra time has already been awarded. If you are not requesting any Chandra observations, then set this keyword to `0'.

8.11.4 innovative

Set this keyword to `yes' if you are submitting an Innovative Proposal (see Section 3.6). You should then also describe why the proposal is innovative in the `Scientific Justification' section of the proposal (see Section 8.15).

8.11.5 noaonights

If you are asking for both HST and NOAO observing time (see Section 3.9) then set this keyword to the requested number of nights on NOAO telescopes. You should then also provide detailed information on the NOAO observations in the `Coordinated Observations' section of the proposal (see Section 8.18.2). Use this flag only if you are requesting new NOAO observing time; do not use it if the NOAO time has already been awarded. If you are not requesting any NOAO observations, then set this keyword to `0'.

8.11.6 theory

Set this keyword to `yes' if your are submitting a Theory proposal (see Section 3.5).

8.11.7 treasury

Set this keyword to `yes' if you are submitting a GO proposal in the Treasury category (see Section 3.2.4).
