11.1 Essential Program Information
A fully specified COS exposure needs to include these data:
- The target to be observed and its coordinates.
- The COS aperture to use: PSA or BOA (or WCA for user-defined wavecals).
- The COS channel being used: FUV or NUV.
- The instrument mode, such as
ACQ/SEARCH, or TIME-TAG.
- For spectra, the grating and wavelength setting.
- The exposure time.
