Parameterized keywords are generally used to access throughput tables for which the throughput is a function of some other variable in addition to wavelength. The syntax for a parameterized keyword is
keyword#value, where value is a numeric (integer or float) value for the keyword to take. The hash sign # indicates to synphot that a parameterized keyword is being used.Parameterized throughput tables contain several throughput columns, each for a specified value of the parameterized component. The user may specify an arbitrary value, however, and synphot will linearly interpolate between the two closest values. If no parameterized keyword is used in the obsmode, a default value will be used.
