Snapshot Surveys in Two Gyro Mode
Snapshot programs are used to fill gaps in the weekly schedule after all possible GO programs have been scheduled.
These gaps are typically less than an orbit, and frequently a result of South Atlantic Anomaly passages preventing longer visits from scheduling. We expect that the scheduling process in Two Gyro mode will provide roughly similar opportunities for scheduling Snapshots.

(http://www.stsci.edu/hst/HST_overview/documents/uir/UIR_SNAP.pdf) that provides additional information about Snapshots. The additional overheads associated with acquisitions in Two Gyro mode will likely increase the overall tendency for shorter Snaps to schedule more successfully than longer ones.
