Known Desgin Assumptions

   Assume that if a file including its full path is present on the file
   system where the service object is executing, then that file system
   is shared with user's host.  Thus, copying of the file is not
   necessary.  The pitfall is that if the remote file system is not
   shared, but happens to have an identical file path as own the
