wf2_make_shx

This command creates a dummy .shx file for a WFPC2 observation. The data portion of this file is zero filled. The archive does not consider a WFPC2 as complete unless the standard header packet is present nor will pipeline process a WFPC2 without this .shx file. This tool cannot be used on any post WFPC2 instruments since these instruments replaced the SHP with an internal header in the UDL. All other instruments are no longer processed in the On The Fly pipelines.

Usage: wf2_make_shx ipppssoot

More_details

This command can only be used for WFPC2 observations. The ipppssoot.pkx and ipppssoot.trx files are needed in the user's current directory (pwd).

To allow the observation to run without intervention through the OTF pipelines archive the EDT set. The tool, edq_reqd.pl, can be used to set the database such that the OTF pipelines knows to process this observation from its EDT set.
