SS_NIC
This task creates the .DGX file for a particular observation. That files
contains the support schedule information from the PMDB which is required
to run data validation and generic conversion. The Support Schedules are
extracted from the database pointed to by the logical OPUS_DB on the server
pointed to by the logical DSQUERY.

More_details
Among the files required to be present for data validation and generic
conversion to begin processing an observation is the .DGX file. This is
a simple ASCII text file which contains explicit values dredged from the
Proposal Management Data Base (PMDB) for the requested observation.
Normally the OPUS pipeline will automatically generate these files for
processing through the pipeline. The SS_NIC command should be used
in cases where you need to recreate those files.
Context
Inputs
This command uses only the name of the observation to search the
database for the relevant information. No other files need to be
available in your directory. This command does make heavy use of
the database, and accesses a large number of relations to obtain
the schedule information.
Outputs
This command will produce the .DGX file for the observation. This is
a simple ASCII text file and can be edited with a normal text editor.
When the command is run interactively the files are placed in the
user's default directory.
Constraints
Parameters
Rootname
The rootname identifies the observation for which you wish to develop
the support schedule files. The rootname is limited to nine characters
and should be in standard ipppssoot form. The ipppssoot cannot be
wild-carded.
