More_detail
The SMS is the schedule of science observations as prepared by PRESTO at
STScI, and verified by PASS at Goddard.
For further details refer to the section on "SPSS/PASS data processing" in
the OPUS User's Guide.
Context
Inputs
Science Mission Schedule (SMS) products are selected based on information
in the database relation SMS_CATALOG. This relation is maintained by
SPSS.
Outputs
A SMS .POD file and a DataBase Indices file (.DBI) are created in the
user's default directory. SMS POD and DBI files start with the letter
'Y'. The database is NOT updated for this command. This means the user
can request the same SMS data repeatedly.
Examples
$ OMSSMS i -f *.*
This command will pull over copies of any SMS files that are
appropiately marked in the database. A DBI and POD file will be
created for each SMS file.
