OMSENG

Process AEDP Engineering, ENG, data. This command generates a .DBI file for each exposure in the catalog (.POD) file

ENG data is obtained from AEDP using a command procedure which performs a DECNET copy. A catalog of the data, along with the AEDP data itself, are placed in the OPUS directory specified by AEDP_XFER_INIT.DAT.

The OMSENG command produces DataBase Indices (DBI) files. The DBI files are later used by the off-line archive process (ARCGEN) to populate the "file_times" relation with observation or file specific information. The DBI file is then deleted.
