OMSAST

This process is an OSF triggered process that constitutes the generic conversion stage of the Astrometry Pipeline. It is responsible for creating astrometry FITS file sets for each astrometry observation processed. Each observation FITS File set contains the following:

Science Fits File for FGS1
Science Fits File for FGS2
Science Fits File for FGS3
Support Schedule Fits File

OMSAST Process Modes

Pipeline Mode

       OMSAST -p opus_definitions_dir:your.path  (in task line of resource file)

              where: OMSAST = command name
                         -p = denotes path file specification follows

                     opus_definitions_dir:your.path = path file to use

OMSAST Process Error Handling

Any errors that occur during OMSAST processing cause the offending OSF to be set to "F" in the AT stage column. Error messages are also posted to the OMSAST Process Log File in the OPUS_HOME_DIR and the observation trailer file in the OMS_ASTDATA_DIR
