OMA
The Grand_MAMA process cumulates the photon counts in every pixel of each
MAMA detector and keeps a running total. There will be a summary file
produced for each of the two MAMA detectors (FUV, NUV), for each day.
You will see new files in the [cal.stis] directory with the names:
The Grand_MAMA process will check the header of the _RAW.FITS file to
determine if it is a MAMA, and what kind of MAMA. The code checks the
database relation, grand_mama, to determine if the exposure has already
been added to the daily sum file; if so, it will not be readded.
Format:
Context
Inputs
Outputs:
This task creates or adds to the Grand_MAMA daily file for the particular
detector. The name is in the form:
MAMA_xxx_yyyymmdd_OMA.FITS
where:
xxx : FUV or NUV identifying the detector
yyyy : year
mm : month
dd : day
If such a file does not exist, it will be created. In addition a trailer
file with the name MAMA_xxx_yyyymmdd.TRA will be appended to with information
about the names of observations which have been added to the Grand_MAMA.
Constraints
The ipppssoot_RAW.FITS files must exist in the user's default directory and
the output files will be created there as well.
Examples
$ OMA O3S40705O
Since this observation uses the NUV detector, and TDATEOBS= '30/03/97' in
the primary header of this exposure, the file MAMA_NUV_19970330_OMA.FITS
will be created if it does not exist.
$ OMA O3S4*
This command creates Grand_MAMA files for each observation in the current
working directory whose name begins with O3S4
