DP
Data Partitioning for Pre SM97 SIs, WFPC2, FOC, and NSSC pod files. This task
takes a .POD file as input and partitions the contents into
observation-specific files which are ready for further pipeline processing.
Format: DP -r resource_file_name [podfilename]
Context
Input
If the name of the POD file is specified on the command line then that
file will be partitioned in interactive mode. The podfilename may be
wild-carded (eg LZ_7E*.POD)
Output
The files created by the command include the .PKX file (science data),
the .ULX file (internal header), the .EIX file (error indications file),
then .TRX file (trailer information), and potentially a .SHX file
(standard header packet).
Constraints
If run interactively, the input files must exist in the user's default
directory, and the output files will be created there as well.
Parameter
The podfilename can have any name. In addition it may be wildcarded.
